Is this Atheros reference code for CE 5.0 or 6.0 or both?

The code that is posted is for CE 6.0. It will run on CE 5.0 without the WPA2 support and perhaps a few minor header file changes.

Hi,

Will this driver work with WinCE .NET 4.2? Thanks in advance.

No, it has only been run on 5.0 and 6.0. You'd have to go through the source and back port it to 4.2

You mention header changes to get it to work in CE 5.0. Is there a code release with those changes, or can you explain more about what would be needed to get it to work?

Thanks,

Actually I should have said sources and bib file changes. These should be pretyy minor. For example, removing the -k in the bib files for 6.0.

Do you know if Atheros works with vendors with regards to getting firmware sources? Unfortunately, we need access to how the scan is performed as well as some other management packets.

If there was a debug mode where we could get more access to the protocol works that would work too. Anyone have any ideas give the firmware is binary form?

Most often the existing firmware supports sufficient control of the scan, etc. Firmware is not available on any public sites. You can discuss your requirements with Atheros sales if you have a volume project.

Hi,
Does Windows CE 5.0 supports WPA2?

The RTM CE 5.0 did not support WPA2. There is third party support. I believe there is a latter intermediate release, perhaps WinMobile related, that added WPA2 to CE 5.0.

Hi,

I am using WinCE 5.0 with RTM 13, If intermediate release is WinMobile related then how we can support the WPA2 on WinCE 5.0.

Thanks,

There are third party supplicants available, otherwise you'll have to check with Microsoft for WPA2 support on CE 5.0.

Hi,
There is a platform builder update for WPA2 (Windows CE 5.0 Product Update Rollup, December 31, 2006)but with that also I am not able to connect with a ap which can be authenticated with wpa2-aes key. Is there any other way to support wpa2 in ce 5.0. CE 6.0 supports wpa2 but I am not sure about 5.0.

Thanks,

The WPA2 in the rollup is most likely the same (or very close) code that is in CE 6.0. Did you build the AR6K driver for CE 5.0 with WPA2 enabled?
